Annual Appeal 2020:

We hear a lot of compliments at the Children’s Museum from out-of-town visitors.  They are always surprised that a small town can support such a unique place.  But as we tell them, this community cares about its children and shows that through its financial assistance.

This is what we hear from our out-of-town- visitors:

  • We’ve stopped here on many annual vacations to and from the Northwest. It’s often our reason for staying in Pendleton.
  • This is going to be a regular stop for us from now on.
  • It’s the perfect stop – fun for the family and great local restaurants.
  • I wish we had something like this in our town.
  • Wow, that’s a good price.

And what do our youngest visitors say?

  • Want to build something with me?
  • Yes! We did it!
  • I messed up. I’m doing it again.
  • Wait… what if we did it like this?
  • Look what I made!

They think they’re only playing, but we know differently.  CMEO kids learn, build and practice skills that will help them grow into productive adults and future leaders for our community.

How can you support this learning?  Your financial gift will help build new exhibits that inspire children to learn through creative play! We keep admission and membership prices low so that more children have the opportunity to enjoy high-quality, family learning experiences.  However, admissions only cover half the cost of keeping the Museum updated, safe and clean.  We rely on community-minded people such as yourself to ensure CMEO stays well-maintained, current and relevant for every family. Please donate today and help create a community of lifelong learners!

Thank you,

CMEO Board of Directors and Joanna Engle, Executive Director

Kate Brizendine, Kim Chavez-Sierra, Jennifer Currin, Chris Garrigues, Anne Lawn, Robert Maranville and Sascha McKeon
